Would you like to see your writing performed by professional actors? Are you interested in learning more about writing for stage?
Wac Arts is offering a free creative writing project exploring how theatre and storytelling can promote positive conversations and relationships across the community.
They are looking for young people aged 16 – 24 with an interest in creative writing and theatre to take part in a series of weekly workshops at Wac Arts. Under the guidance of playwright Beth Flintoff, Associate Playwright at The Royal Court, the group will explore key aspects of writing for theatre, receive 1:1 script development support and create a series of pieces that will be performed by professional actors.

WAC Arts Intergenerational Writing Project
Have you ever wanted to work backstage at The Old Vic?
OV Backstage will offer paid placements on an Old Vic main house production to six 18–30-year-olds from underrepresented backgrounds in the arts.
Participants will shadow an industry professional across 15 paid sessions and get hands-on experience in one of the following disciplines: Costume / wardrobe, lighting, set & staging, sound, stage management.
The project culminates with a networking session to help participants take the next steps in their careers.
Participants will be paid for taking part in the programme. Additional support for travel costs is available if required.

Their dance teacher, Boogie, is an original member of the renowned street dance group, Flawless. The Remix Dance classes will be working on a showcase that will be performed at The Place dance venue.

There are many types of Work Experience opportunities at Scene & Heard including; costumes, props lighting and sound, front of house, supporting playwriting weekends, and supporting the Scene & Heard team in the office.

Older Member Playwrights can become a Young Ambassador for Scene & Heard.
