Architecture and Digital Design Workshop

Revit is one of the world's most popular building design softwares that helps teams design buildings in 3D, coordinate them virtually, and prepare them for facilities management post construction.

Within this workshop, the amazing team at Eric Parry Architects will focus on the design development of a building to showcase how to use this software and how a project can progress from concept to completion!

This online event is perfect for anyone looking to boost their architectural design skills with some real pros. Whether you're a beginner or just want to pick up new tips, this session will be packed with cool insights and hands-on learning. These sessions will be led by Ivor Novello Award-winning composer Renell Shaw, exploring what it means to build a sustainable life in music through honest conversation, musical insight and real industry perspective. They are aimed at songwriters, composers, musicians and producers at any stage. There are two separate sessions:​

  • The Young Artists Edition (ages 16–18) masterclass will be from 10:00–11:30 and 11:50–13:00 on Friday 29 May 2026 at Kings Place.

  • The Open Room 18 Plus (ages 19+) masterclass will be from 15:00–16:30 and 16:50–18:00 on Friday 29 May 2026 at Kings Place.​

Across the workshops, participants will reflect on their musical identity, gain insight into industry practices and creative responsibility, and consider practical next steps towards a sustainable creative pathway. All participants will also receive a complimentary ticket to Renell’s debut live performance of his works ‘Windrush Suite’ and ‘Echo In The Bones’ at Kings Place on Thursday 25 June 2026. On the masterclass day, you will also have the opportunity to meet The Ivors Academy Team!

Music Composition Masterclass

Set Ready is a FREE training programme created by FilmFixer, the UK’s largest film service provider.

This two-day course provides an opportunity to learn crucial skills for working on film and TV shoots as a location marshal. Once the training has been completed, you will have the opportunity to put yourself forward for an entry-level paid placement on set.

Applicants must be a resident of Barnet, Camden, Haringey, Havering, Islington, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, or Waltham Forest.

No previous experience needed.

The Young Playwrights Award is a free, open-access competition for any teenager in the UK interested in writing a play. Your play can be about anything you want or imagine: something that inspires you, a story not told before, or ideas that challenge the world around you. Photography Workshops

Wac Arts is delighted to be launching a new photography project as part of their Young Makers digital arts series. The project will bring together young people to explore the fundamentals of photography through weekly workshops exploring composition, lighting and personal style. The group will explore the theme People, Purpose and Place through practical workshops and then curate an exhibition of printed images at Wac Arts in June.

The project is designed so that young people can take part using either a smartphone or camera. However, if you do not have access to either but would like to take part, please contact communities@wacarts.co.uk and they will aim to source equipment for you.

There are many types of Work Experience opportunities at Scene & Heard including; costumes, props lighting and sound, front of house, supporting playwriting weekends, and supporting the Scene & Heard team in the office.

Older Member Playwrights can become a Young Ambassador for Scene & Heard.
